Born in Sierra Leone and raised on a rich musical heritage, ZUA — formerly known as Uncle Papayzua — has emerged as one of the most distinctive voices in the African diaspora music scene. Blending the rhythmic heartbeat of Gumbay with the modern pulse of Afro-Pop, Milo Jazz, and Dancehall, his sound is both deeply rooted and boldly global.
A musician, cultural ambassador, and entrepreneur, ZUA carries the stories of his people from the streets of Freetown to stages across the United States and beyond. His music is a bridge — honoring tradition while inspiring a new generation to embrace their identity with pride.
